Information Services supports three main computer labs, two
open labs and one reserved for academic instruction. The
main student labs are located in ACAC (Open 24 hours! See schedule) on the First floor at the Northwest end of the building
and in McFarlin Library.
The public labs include PC computers with CD/DVD-RW drives.
All computers are connected to the University network and can be used to access personal
disk space. In addition, a multimedia PC with a
scanner and special software is available for use.
Additional labs are located in various buildings on campus. Access on
the computers may vary by class/college.
Labs for Academic
Instruction
The McFarlin Library North Lab is a facility managed by Information
Services Academic Computing Group for the purpose of
advancing the use of curricula and information technologies in the
classroom.
The lab hosts twenty-four student and one teaching computer connected
to a high speed network. Software installs include Microsoft Office,
FrontPage, as well as the selected internet browsers.
The room can be scheduled for individual events through Sarah Keirsey
(631-2352,
sarah-keirsey@utulsa.edu) in the Academic Computing Office. Faculty
who are wishing to schedule the facility on a regular basis for their
class activities should contact Janet Cairns (631-3101,
janet-cairns@utulsa.edu) in the Faculty Resource Center.

Multimedia PC
The multimedia PC has specialty
software designed more for special projects. The software loaded
include:

Macromedia Studio 4.0 - Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Freehand, Flash

Adobe Acrobat
- Omipage Scanning/Character Recognition.
How Do I...
Login to the Lab
Computers? - to login to the McFarlin lab computers including the
North Lab, you will be logging into the Utulsa Domain. You should use
your campus user name and password.
