Information
Introduction

The Faculty Resource Center is an area set aside for faculty use in the
development and preparation of online course materials. We have both PC's
and Macs to help support special software along with our multimedia needs.
Our goals are to provide instructional support to faculty, aid in the
integration of technology into the classroom, and to provide a forum for
consultation, discussion and sharing of ideas.
Our facility is available for use by faculty and staff working on curriculum
and research. The facility includes PC's and Mac's to support specialty
software along with our multimedia needs. We have video editing tools along
with Macromedia and Adobe software geared toward web page creation.
For help contact one of us to set an appointment. Please feel free to
drop by and use the equipment or schedule a time to ensure availability.

Bb WebCT - Getting Started
We have a campus-wide web-based course management system. Blackboard WebCT is
online, access anywhere, anytime to course material and tools. Many
faculty use Bb WebCT to support their classroom activities, posting a syllabus,
homework assignments, announcements, even assessments. Only students
in your class or those you have given access can see the course material
in Bb WebCT.
Currently, we are running Blackboard's Vista product.
Vista provides us with a more robust, secure platform along with a
variety of new and enhanced features.
We have several ways to help you get started. We provide training courses
and consulting. We work with many one-on-one to provide the most
customized learning environment. Contact Janet and we will schedule time with you. You may Request a
Course to get the process going.

WebCT has several tutorials on their site to help you get an overview.
We have a support area set up in Vista called Faculty Support.
Faculty Technology
Forum
During the school year, about every three weeks, we host a technology
forum with a guest speaker from on or off campus. The purpose is to
share ideas and information on different ways to use technology to enhance
our students' learning experiences.

How Do I...
Find my WebCT User
Name? -
If you are an enrolled student, faculty, or staff, your WebCT user name and password
is the same as your campus user name and password. Guest users of WebCT are given
their user name by an instructor or administrator.
Change my password?
-
If you have a campus user name and password, then you will use Campus Connection
to change your password associated with your campus user name. If you have a Guest
login to WebCT and need your password changed, check for a link on your myWebCT
menu. If you cannot find the link, ask your instructor to help you change the
password.
